Day 2
Location: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Visit the Genocide Memorial Museum to learn about the country's tragic history. Explore the local markets and have lunch at local restaurant for Rwandan cuisine. Afternoon transfer to Volcanoes national park - a sanctuary of natural wonder and conservation. We will explore its magnificent landscapes and remarkable wildlife, an unforgettable experience, allowing you to connect with nature, observe rare wildlife, and immerse yourself in the heart of Rwanda's natural beauty. Prepare to be enchanted by this extraordinary destination.
Day 3 & 4
Location: Bwindi, UGANDA
Accommodation: Travelers Rest Hotel
Day 3: Today we Trek the Golden Monkey in Volcanoes National Park - home to the endangered golden monkeys. Your experienced guide will take you on a trek to observe these playful primates in their enchanting forested habitat.
Optional Visit the Dian Fossey grave at Karisoke Research Center to learn about her conservation efforts and the history of gorilla conservation in Rwanda. We will cross the border into Uganda and head to to Bwindi.
Day 4: Today you will embark on an extraordinary adventure as we take you deep into the heart of Africa's dense jungles for a life-altering gorilla trekking experience. This unforgettable journey is your opportunity to encounter the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, an encounter that promises to be both humbling and exhilarating.
After out trek we will head back to our lodge, relax and have an afternoon yoga session.
Day 5 & 6
Location: Queen Elizabeth NP, UGANDA
Accommodation: Bush Lodge
Day 5: Following breakfast, we'll journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival at your lodge, you'll have the opportunity to check in and explore optional activities, such as the boat cruise. Later in the evening, unwind with a rejuvenating yoga session at the lodge.
Day 6:Uganda is one of the best places in the world for chimpanzee trekking, offering the opportunity to observe these remarkable primates in their natural habitat.

Day 7
Location: Jinja, UGANDA

Today is quite a long drive to Jinja - a city located in southeastern Uganda, near the northern shores of Lake Victoria. It's known for its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, and various attractions.
Jinja is most famous for being the source of the Nile River, one of the world's longest rivers. Visitors can witness the Nile's start at the point where it flows out of Lake Victoria, known as the "Source of the Nile." This iconic spot is a must-visit and offers boat rides and scenic views.
Jinja is often referred to as the "Adventure Capital of East Africa" due to the wide range of thrilling activities available:
White-Water Rafting: The turbulent rapids of the Nile River provide excellent opportunities for white-water rafting. It's a popular activity for adrenaline junkies and adventure seekers.
Kayaking and Canoeing: The calm sections of the Nile are perfect for kayaking and canoeing, catering to both beginners and experienced paddlers.

DAY 8
Location: Lake Nakuru, KENYA

Following breakfast, we'll embark on a scenic drive to the border, crossing into Kenya. Our journey continues as we head towards Lake Nakuru, where we'll spend the night.
Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya's most famous and ecologically significant lakes, known for its stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. Located in the Great Rift Valley, this alkaline lake and its surrounding national park offer a range of attractions and experiences for visitors.
Here's what you can expect when visiting Lake Nakuru:
1. Flamingo Spectacle: Lake Nakuru is renowned for its vast flocks of flamingos that gather along the shoreline. The sight of these graceful pink birds wading in the shallow waters is a visual spectacle that draws nature enthusiasts and photographers from around the world. While the flamingo population has fluctuated in recent years due to environmental factors, the lake remains a critical habitat for these birds.
2. Wildlife Viewing: Lake Nakuru National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, making it a fantastic destination for safaris and game drives. DAY 11
Location: Lake Naivasha, KENYA

On this daring day, you have the opportunity to seize an optional adventure: the Mara's skyward ballet in a hot air balloon. It all begins at the break of dawn and lasts for an exhilarating hour. Ascending high above the Maasai Mara in a hot air balloon is nothing short of enchanting. It grants you the privilege of gazing upon wildlife and landscapes from a celestial vantage point, all while basking in the awe-inspiring vistas of the boundless savannah below.
Following this adventure, we'll journey to the stunning Lake Naivasha in Kenya's Great Rift Valley. This freshwater paradise is a haven for over 400 bird species and boasts a resident hippo population.
Explore lush greenery, embark on boat excursions for birdwatching, and even spot zebras, giraffes, and leopards in the nearby Hells Gate National Park.
End the day with a boat safari, bringing you closer to the lake's wildlife, including hippos and giraffes. Relax and rejuvenate at the lodge with an enchanting yoga session as the sun sets over this tranquil oasis.
DAY 12 &13

Day 12: We'll venture towards the Aberdare rainforest, nestled in central Kenya—a captivating and distinctive sanctuary celebrated for its verdant rainforests, varied wildlife, and dramatic terrain.
Upon arrival at our hotel, prepare for check-in and a delightful early lunch. Then, amidst the awe-inspiring backdrop of Mount Kenya, indulge in an invigorating yoga session at the lodge. As twilight descends, we'll embark on a thrilling game drive, followed by a sumptuous dinner to cap off the day's adventures.
Day 13: After breakfast, we'll gear up for an extended morning game drive in the captivating Aberdare National Park.
This sanctuary is a haven for the revered "Big Five": lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. Within these wild confines, a rich tapestry of wildlife thrives, encompassing not only the Big Five but also a multitude of other species. Among these cherished inhabitants are the endangered black rhino, the majestic Grevy's zebra, the elegant Jackson's hartebeest, and even chimpanzees. Notably, the conservancy is home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos, making it a vital sanctuary for these magnificent creatures.
As the sun begins its descent, we'll reconvene for a serene sunset yoga session at our lodge, embracing the tranquility that surrounds us.
DAY 14
Location: Nairobi, KENYA
Following a leisurely breakfast, we'll make our way to Nairobi, ensuring you reach the airport in time for your homeward-bound flight.

Day 1: Kigali, RWANDA

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park, RWANDA
Volcanoes National Park, located in northwestern Rwanda, is a renowned conservation area and a cornerstone of wildlife preservation in Africa. Covering approximately 160 square kilometers, the park is part of the larger Virunga Massif, a range of volcanic mountains shared with Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The park is famous for its population of endangered mountain gorillas, offering unique and unforgettable gorilla trekking experiences. Day 3 & 4: Bwindi National Park, Uganda
With more than 160 species of trees, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is known for exceptional biodiversity. Here you will find various butterfly species, 350 species of birds and 120 mammal species, which includes the colobus monkey and chimpanzee. It is home to almost half of the world’s mountain gorilla population and this is where we will be on foot, trekking these rare and endangered beauties. Bwindi is the source of five major rivers and also declared a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site.
Day 5 & 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park, UGANDA
Queen Elizabeth National Park, located in western Uganda, is one of the country's most popular and biodiverse wildlife reserves. Spanning approximately 1,978 square kilometers, the park boasts a variety of ecosystems, including savannahs, wetlands, and tropical forests, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains.
The park is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions (notably the tree-climbing lions of Ishasha), leopards, and over 600 species of birds. Nestled within Lake Nakuru National Park, the alkaline lake is part of the Great Rift Valley and covers an area of approximately 188 square kilometers.
The lake is best known for its spectacular flocks of flamingos that create a vibrant pink hue along the shoreline, although their numbers can vary depending on water levels and food availability. Besides flamingos, the park is home to over 400 bird species, making it a paradise for bird watchers.

The conservancy is home to the largest population of black rhinos in East Africa. Visitors can also see the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—along with a variety of other wildlife, including chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

Day 14: Nairobi, KENYA
Nairobi, the bustling capital of Kenya, is a dynamic city known for its blend of modernity and tradition. Situated in the south-central part of the country, Nairobi is a major economic, cultural, and political hub in East Africa.
The city offers a diverse array of attractions, including the Nairobi National Park, where visitors can see a variety of wildlife, including lions and rhinos, just a short drive from the city center. Nairobi also boasts vibrant markets, such as Maasai Market, and cultural sites like the Karen Blixen Museum and the Nairobi Railway Museum.
With its lively arts scene, numerous restaurants, and shopping districts, Nairobi provides a rich urban experience. Its unique combination of urban sophistication and close proximity to natural wonders makes it a gateway to both the cultural and natural beauty of Kenya.

When cancellation is made less than 60 and more than 30 days prior to retreat date, 50% of the retreat cost will be refunded less the admin/bank processing fee and the non-refundable deposit. If cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the retreat date, no payments will be refunded. You can expect about 8-10 sessions in 14 days.
Our yoga sessions will encompass a blend of yin, slow flows, vinyasa flows, and hatha-inspired practices, in addition to incorporating breathing techniques and a variety of guided meditations. All these sessions will be conducted amidst the natural beauty of the bush, ocean, and desert landscapes.

There is also no set route to visit the gorillas. They move around of their own free will, so the amount of time it will take to visit them can vary from under an hour to almost a full day depending on where they are and how long it takes the trackers to locate them.

Due to trekking through the dense forests in search of Chimpanzee and Gorilla, and trekking time taking anything from 2-8 hours, a fairly good level of fitness is required. Walking sticks can be hired at the park headquarters if needed.
